Last November we were blessed with having two beautiful Dominican sisters speak at our conference, Mother Assumpta Long, and Sr. Maximilian Marie. Yesterday the order that Mother Assumpta co-founded, The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, were highlighted on the Oprah Winfrey show. I was a bit skeptical on how Oprah would approach this topic and was surprised by some of her reactions. It was a beautiful portrayal of the sacredness of religious life and answering God's call. I'm sure more than one soul was touched and may respond to God's call for them.

It was also a reminder of how blessed we are in this area to have had them here and to speak to us about God along with the many speakers that have come. Our audience was much smaller than Oprah's, but it was just as powerful for us to have that intimate time with them.

Please keep Mother Assumpta OP, Sister Maximilian Marie OP, and all of the Dominicans in your prayers.

Be Present Faithful Catholic Apostolate wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I'm late in posting this wish but we are still in the Christmas season and it's still a new year. Hopefully you all have had an opportunity to sit back and reflect on how blessed we are as Christians to have a God that loves us so much, that He would send His only Son. How blessed we are to be able to sit in front of Our Lord every day in the Blessed Sacrament and to be able to receive Him.

BPFC has taken a little break after this past conference, which was a huge success, and now is back to work. We are working on next year's conference which dates are, November 5th and 6th, 2010. Soon I will announce the theme of our 5th annual Northern Nevada Eucharistic and Marian Conference. Be sure to check back every so often so you don't miss out, and please remember to keep us in your prayers.

There are no words that can express my gratitude to all those involved in making this year's 4th Annual Northern Nevada Eucharistic and Marian Conference a great success. Each volunteer gave of themselves unselfishly. The speakers were amazing and beautiful. The Divine Mercy Chaplet brought many to tears, and heaven was opened for us at Mass. As Catholics we are so blessed!

My prayer for all those that attended is that today begins a new day in growing closer to Our Lord and that we all stand and defend our wonderful Church!

My prayer for all of the volunteers is that you get some needed rest, know that you are appreciated, and that God rewards you greatly for your time and talent you have given to others. Thank You.

My prayer for the speakers, is that they continue their mission in bringing many souls to Christ.

Online registration will close on Wednesday, November 4th, by 9 pm. After this day you can register at the door on Friday the 6th for the same price of $45 per adult, $5 per child K-8, and $15 for high school teens.
