"Why is prayer so important? We can answer this question by analyzing the functions of prayer: Adoration, Contrition, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. These we do when we pray. But what if we don't pray? Then it follows that we do not adore God, nor are we contrite for our sins, nor do we thank the Lord for His many blessings, nor do we ask Him for guidance and strength as we carry out our mission in life. In such a case, we are not at all doing God's work; rather, we are doing our work!" Jaime Cardinal L.
BPFC has taken a little break after this past conference, which was a huge success, and now is back to work. We are working on next year's conference which dates are, November 5th and 6th, 2010. Soon I will announce the theme of our 5th annual Northern Nevada Eucharistic and Marian Conference. Be sure to check back every so often so you don't miss out, and please remember to keep us in your prayers.

Pray for Priests!

"If holy priests...show in their conduct their extreme need for prayers, what is to be said of those who are tepid? Let us live for souls, let us be apostles, let us save especially the souls of priests...Let us pray, let us suffer for them, and, on the last day, Jesus will be grateful." St. Therese of Lisieux

Conference Recordings!

Upon This Rock conference recordings are still available for sale. Were you moved by a particular talk the speakers gave, or do you want to remember what was said? Then order your set today. You can contact Holy Family Resources at www.holyfamilyresources.com or print the order form and mail it to them. Click here for the order form page.

Upon This Rock!

There are no words that can express my gratitude to all those involved in making this year's 4th Annual Northern Nevada Eucharistic and Marian Conference a great success. Each volunteer gave of themselves unselfishly. The speakers were amazing and beautiful. The Divine Mercy Chaplet brought many to tears, and heaven was opened for us at Mass. As Catholics we are so blessed!

My prayer for all those that attended is that today begins a new day in growing closer to Our Lord and that we all stand and defend our wonderful Church!

My prayer for all of the volunteers is that you get some needed rest, know that you are appreciated, and that God rewards you greatly for your time and talent you have given to others. Thank You.

My prayer for the speakers, is that they continue their mission in bringing many souls to Christ.
